Amy U.

(For video interviews of Amy, click here.)

Amy grew up in the Hartford, Wisconsin area. God planted seeds for a calling to missions through her family and annual church missions conferences. While attending Bethany College of Missions, she had an internship in Southeast Asia.

Following that experience, God directed Amy to a unique medical missions training program at Elim Bible Institute and subsequent hands-on experience in the Philippines, ministering through health outreach and patient advocacy in the slums of Davao.

After completing training in practical nursing, Amy arrived in Cambodia, Southeast Asia, in 2009 to serve with a mission agency called World Team. World Team exists to glorify God by working together to establish reproducing churches focusing on the unreached peoples of the world. World Team’s vision is “Innovative teams multiplying disciples and communities of believers, bringing the Gospel within reach of lost people everywhere we go.”

Amy served among Vietnamese refugees in Cambodia in Kampong Cham province after intensive language and culture learning. Her current ministry role is serving in Phnom Penh on World Team’s EDu team - Educating and Discipling Cambodian teachers and local leaders through a teacher training program. Watch this 5 minute video to see what Amy and her team are doing lately:

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (Jn. 10:10).
